Infrasonic Quartet- Sound Card (PCI)

I had the pleasure to try out the new Infrasonic Quartet Sound Card by Auzentech! Special thanks goes out to Stephane Bae and the rest of the staff over at Auzentech. Below I have a few pictures showing how the sound card looks like. I also included a couple pictures of the product installed in my PC.

What really got me excited about the Infrasonic Quartet Sound Card was the (4 ) 1/4 inch input/ output access (see pics 7 & 8). I like the 1/4 inch cords because its an alternative to the common audio RCA cables, and it sounds a lot more cleaner. Note: Make sure to run a balanced 1/4 cords to obtain stereo sound.

The Infrasonic Quartet Sound Card is installed through the computer's PCI slot (see pics 5 & 6). This allows the card to perform its job with out using too much of the motherboard's resources, compared to the "stock" sound cards that comes with the PC.

This product also comes with an external I/O cable, that is inserted into the ISD link port located in the rear of the sound card (see pic 3). The external I/O cord allows digital access to the sound card, when needed.

The Infrasonic Quartet also comes with an impressive Control Panel (see pic 9). It's pretty simple to use! It allows the user to adjust the gains for each 1/4 inch port that the product provides. The mixer tab within the control panel allows you to get more detailed in tweaking the sound levels. Another tab within the control panel is the "Free Mixer," with a graph to allow the user to fine tune the sound.

This sound card works with most audio recording and producing software. I currently use both Nuendo and Sound Forge with the Infrasonic Quartet sound card. Overall, the sound card is amazing. The quality is rock solid! The user control panel is also fairly easy to use and tune.
